P-RADE [P-Stat Inc.]

P-RADE is the random-access database enhancement to the P-STATstatistical analysis software. P-RADE gives P-STAT users a form ofdirect access data storage. P-RADE files are packed for economical diskstorage. Any P-STAT command can read a P-RADE file sequentially in anykey order.A P-RADE file contains a primary key with a unique value (such as asocial security number) and up to nine secondary keys. Up to 10 numericor character variables can be used to define each key. When a new caseis added, changed, or deleted, the keys are also updated, therebymaintaining the sort order of each of the keys.P-STAT is required to run the P-RADE program. Other add-on modules to theP-STAT system include:PX-GRAPH -- a presentation graphics module based on X Window Systemprotocols which runs under various Graphical User Interfaces such as OPENLOOK, Motif, and DEC Windows.Interfaces -- a module with interfaces to other application and databaseprograms such as Informix.
